The Day That Changed Everything
My nightmare started on 15th May 2020 at 4:30pm. I received an email from a DNA testing company confirming the child I had been raising, and told was biologically mine, wasn’t.
I broke down. I’ve never felt pain like it. My mother was with me at the time — and I’ll never forget the look on her face. She was in pieces too. We were both in shock, devastated by the news.
---
Looking for Help... and Finding Nothing
After the initial shock wore off, I started looking for help. I needed legal guidance. I needed emotional support. I needed to talk to someone who understood what I was going through.
But here in the UK, there was nothing. No dedicated service. No helpline. No advice network. No-one really talking about paternity fraud — let alone supporting the men going through it.
---
Finding Strength in the Unlikeliest Place
Eventually, I found support — but it wasn’t in the UK. It was in America.
I came across a gentleman called Carnell Smith, who had been through paternity fraud himself. He wasn’t just sharing his story — he was fighting for change. His videos were honest, powerful, and deeply comforting.
In fact, I can honestly say: if I hadn’t found Carnell Smith’s work, I don’t know where I’d be today.

Building What I Couldn’t Find
It was his influence and strength that gave me the idea to build something similar here in the UK — but tailored to our legal system, our courts, and our communities.
That’s why I started Paternity Fraud UK.
I wanted to create a place where men can find:
Legal Support – including help with DNA testing, child arrangements, and financial recovery
Emotional Support – from people who get it
Peer Support – through stories, community, and shared experiences
---
A Final Word
Paternity fraud is more than just a personal betrayal — it has legal, financial, and emotional consequences that can last a lifetime. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.
If you’ve been through it, or you’re in the middle of it right now, I want you to know: you are not alone. That’s why we’re here.
Get in touch. Join our network. Speak to someone who understands.
